Description :
To protect themselves from the sun, they place designated items such as scarves, empty water bottles, bags, or shoes in a clearly visible spot to mark their place in the queue, then retreat to a shelter. In this case, the ICRC staff and South Sudan Red Cross volunteers reserved this structure for breastfeeding mothers and persons with disabilities.
In this case, ICRC staff and South Sudan Red Cross volunteers have set aside this structure for lactating mothers and persons with disabilities. In September, the ICRC provided food and essential household items such as soap, blankets, cooking utensils and mosquito nets to some 1,200 households of returnees in Kuajok, Warrap State. Since 15 April 2023, when war broke out in Sudan, more than a million refugees and returnees have arrived in different parts of South Sudan, putting enormous pressure on the limited resources available, particularly food and water, but also education and healthcare services.
