Description :
Specialists at the ICRC-supported Physical Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) in Wau, evaluated 11-year-old Mujaheed to assess his limb function, balance, strength and flexibility. They determined that he needed surgery, which he could receive at the ICRC-supported Juba Military Hospital.
Mujaheed’s entire family, including his father and siblings, were killed when a bomb exploded near their home in Sudan at the start of the war. His mother survived because she was not at home at the time. Mujaheed himself was injured by the bomb blast. His hip was fractured, meaning he must now use crutches to walk.
