Vahan's parents would like clarification as to what happened to their son. According to his mother, they received a call from the army in May 1995 informing them that he deserted. But after her own investigation, which revealed a lot of conflicting information as to what may have happened to her son, she finally received a letter from the Ministry of Defence (shown here) stating that her son went missing during military duty on 24 May, 1995. No further details have been given. This lack of information and discrepancies lead his parents to think that perhaps he may still be alive.
