Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Karina is originally from the village which has been on the other side of the Line of Contact since 1992.
When fleeing the village, Karina and her family had to leave her brother behind because they did not know where he was. Since then, there has been no news from him. She now lives alone as both her parents died. She has a small invalidity pension of about 40 USD and gets some help from her uncle.
