During the war, his home was destroyed, and he moved into this apartment, in which he has been residing since. He makes some money working as an occasional day labourer but it is not steady work. He can no longer afford electricity which has been cut and the only light he has at night is from the street lights outside his windows. He says he is often hungry. He lives in a building in which displaced people live.
