Description : Eugenia, an ethnic Russian and beneficiary of the Russian Red Cross Home Visiting Nurse Program. Eugenia was born in Chechnya but lived in Norilsk, Siberia, for 22 years, where she worked at a railway factory. Her husband was murdered when they returned to Grozny before the conflict. She spent the conflict years in Grozny. Her house was destroyed during hostilities. Several times, she was attacked for being Russian and her neighbours had to hide her in their basement to spare her from being killed. During the conflict, she began collecting and making dolls from pieces of dolls that she found. She painted their faces and made clothes for them and she keeps calling them her children. She has 58 dolls. The RC nurse, Alma Saralyapova, is mostly there to keep her from feeling lonely.
