Description :
Aisha, brings up her three under-aged children alone in difficult conditions. Her husband, who was the family's breadwinner, is currently serving a prison sentence in relation with the situation of violence in the republic. His detention facility is situated in a distant part of the Russian Federation and visits to him generate important expenses for Aisha. Therefore, she benefits from ICRC's Family Visit Program, which aims at helping detainees of this category and their families to keep in contact. ICRC reimburses travel costs, including accommodation and alimentation, for a close family member up to four times a year. ICRC also offers micro-economic projects to economically vulnerable families whose breadwinners are deprived of liberty due to the situation of violence in the Northern Caucasus.
