He clears vegetation in a backyard, searching for surface cluster sub-munitions. Around him residents continue with their daily routine, and he must stop his work and wait until they are beyond the danger zone of about 100 meters before continuing his work. The UN estimates about a million unexploded cluster sub-munitions in Southern Lebanon following the war with Israel in 2006.
