He and family members stepped outside their home not knowing the street was littered with cluster sub-munitions. One went off killing his uncle and 11-year-old nephew and injuring his brother (Ali) and four other people. He claims the street was littered with M type cluster sub-munitions - the bell shaped ones with the white ribbon. Ibrahim was hospitalized for two months and has already undergone three operations to his leg which, due to shattered bones, has shortened in length. He still requires one final operation. he is an agricultural worker and has not worked since the accident.
