Description :
The airbase is contaminated by several generations of mines and other explosive devices. The Soviet occupation, the Taliban era and finally the US-led air strikes in 2001 have saturated this strategic military facility and the surrounding land.
The mine on the photo is called: PMN = (pressure-activated anti-personnel blast mine).
